Printer Deadline

Hey everybody! I am headed to the printer tomorrow (Friday, November 20). This will be my last run to the printer in November. If you are wanting me to print you some gift tags or stationery, please email me today (polkadotsandpaisleys@cox.net) and let me know so I can add it to my list.

Here are my designs for Christmas 2009!

I am super excited about my first Christmas season doing digital cards!

*Each card is a 5 x 7 and is $15 for the design. You may then take the design to your favorite printer to print as many times as you'd like. Don't see what you're looking for? I also do custom designs for $20. Click here to view matching gift tags.

My Favorite printers to use (and cheap)!

Lots of people ask, "where is the best place to print my cards?" There are tons of places to print digital photo cards on-line and locally, but here are a few of my favorites:

artscow.com- you can print (1) 5 x 7 for 12 cents compared to Wal- Mart ($1.47). Artscow has a slower turn around- about 2 weeks, so plan ahead if using them.

winkflash.com- 25 cents for a 5 x 7- about a week turnaround

mpix.com- envelopes come with your order! Start at .85 cents.

Cardstock- If you want to print on cardstock, I like Office Depot. You can print (2) 5 x 7's on one sheet for .59. Their #110 cardstock is .08. That makes each card about .34 cents. Note that colors at OD tend to print darker than what they appear on screen, so print one first, before you print ALL your cards! I also recommend going in the store so we can see a proof, instead of doing on-line sight unseen.

Thank You Photo Card

I got to make this "thank-you" photo card for a high school friend. Aren't these girls precious?

This would also make a great Christmas card in lots of different color combos!

Zebra + Polka dots = Cuteness Business Cards

This cusomer really like the colors and patterns on the zebra/polkadots baby shower invitation and wanted some business cards in the same colors.

These would also be super cute as mommy cards or gift tags!

We printed these cutie- pie Minnie Mouse invites and matching flats on cardstock and paired them with some black and hot pink envelopes. So cute!

Envelopes

With the busy holiday season coming up, I thought I'd talk a little about envelopes! Most of my cards require a 5 x 7 or A7 envelope. In our little spot of the country, I have not been able to find this size locally. I have had customers in different states track them down, but not here. So, I always order my envelopes. If you google A7 envelopes you will find numerous vendors who sale all kinds of qualities and prices of envelopes. I always order my envelopes from paperandmore.com. They are a great quality with a square flap, about mid grade in the price range, come in all kinds of colors and materials, no tax outside CA, and my favorite- they have a $3.99 flat ship rate for orders over $15. I would definitely recommend them to house your Chrismas Cards in or any card!
